Online therapy for first responders, individuals and couples

Meet Joshua Skinner

Welcome to Skinner Group LLC.  I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience in working with couples and individuals.  I have been practicing for more than 5 years and am licensed in California (LMFT # 97000) which requires 3000 clinical hours prior to licensure, and am also licensed in Tennessee (LMFT # 1440).

I have experience working with a variety of issues but specialize in work surrounding stress and trauma.  Much of my professional work has been focused on the first responder community where  I provided critical incident stress debriefings as well as ongoing one on one therapy.  As a result of my experience, I also have extensive experience in working with death, coping and loss.

In addition to my experience as an individual therapist, I have run depression groups, have provided on-going training to first responders and co-developed and presented a course on stress in law enforcement which is taught at a police academy in northern California.
